A self-described demon who has over 200 tattoos has fulfilled a life-long dream – by getting his eyeballs blacked out.
Soren Lorenson – also known as Neon Demon – is covered head to toe in tattoos.
The assistant manager of a pizza restaurant has been getting inked ever since he was 18 – causing his parents to ask him to "pray to god for help".
But he took his unique look to another extreme after recently tattooing his eyeballs black.
And the 28-year-old explained why the alteration has made him more sociable.
He told Daily Star: “It was a very positive experience and I have wanted to do it for many many years.
“I'm very happy with who I see when I look in the mirror now. Ever since I was a child, I've always drawn characters with black eyes and eyes without pupils.
“I got it done for myself because I've wanted it my whole life and I knew that I would be happier seeing myself this way.”
And he added: “The reactions have actually been the same as always, yet works surprisingly well as a social icebreaker and a good conversation starter.
“So in that sense the eyes assist in making me even more approachable and easier to talk to.”
Despite the positives, his appearance often inspires mixed responses.
He explained: “For the most part i wouldn't say I experience discrimination as much as just curiosity.
“I've found that usually when I approach someone with a smile and treat them the way I would want to be treated then we can form a human connection and go from there.
“Some people can be pretty volatile though, and dealing with that sort of energy on a normal basis has helped me work on my patience.”
But regardless of what others think, Neon Demon is satisfied with his choices.
He added: “Tattooing to me is an important act of creative expression that allows me to feel like myself and through the years it has also helped me learn to better love myself for who I am.”
The tattoo fan got his first face tattoo in tribute to his girlfriend, Courtney, who tragically died in a motorcycle accident.
He has the letter 'C' underneath his eye to remember her by.
And last week, Soren revealed what he looked like before his 200 tattoos – and you can see his eye-popping transformation here.
Trolls have accused him of "ruining his life" and his extended family no longer speak with him.
But his message to those against his body art was this: “Everyone is going through their own journey and life can be long and hard. Be kind and open-minded.
“Just because you may not approve, doesn't mean that person can turn back time or will just stop existing.
“People tell me I've ruined my life, but what should one reply to that?
“We may only move forward and try to live our lives the best we can, finding joy where we can and spreading love.
“I am happy with myself, who I am inside and out. Show love to others and love yourself.”
