TRYING on clothes before you buy them might save you time in the long-run.

But let's be honest, it's rarely ever a pleasant experience… especially when it comes to jeans.

Well if you've ever had a meltdown in a shop changing room over not being able to squeeze your way into a new pair of skinnies, then this little-known life hack might just be for you.

In a viral video that's racked up over 220,000 views, TikTok user Elisa shared her simple tip which helps her figure out if a new pair of jeans will fit without having to try them on.

She explained: "Don't feel like trying on jeans? Try this out."

To quickly judge how they'll fit, Elisa used her forearm to measure the waistband.
