CHRISTMAS party season is in full swing and we're all enjoying getting glammed up and heading out for nights on the town.

But many of us like to pair our festive frocks with high heels which can mean painful feet and the occasional blister.

If you want your glam shoes to last through till New Year's Eve you'll need this handy hack to keep yourself moving.

Lisa Kay, founder and CEO at bunion and wide fit footwear specialists Sole Bliss, shared her insider tip for keeping you on your feet.

The expert suggested putting deodorant on your feet as this prevents chafing.

The simple tip won't break the bank either as you can get deodorant for a quid from your local supermarket and it'll save you a small fortune on blister plasters.

Lisa said: "A wonderful and very cost-effective heel hack to stop rubbing is by adding a roll-on deodorant to the sides of your feet, which is a cheap £1 hack.

"This will create a barrier between your skin and the shoe that will help to prevent that horrible heel chafing.

"As you wear heels through the night, your feel can naturally get sweaty and the deodorant will help keep that moisture at bay where you can start to feel irritation and blistering."

She also suggested "breaking in" your shoes by wearing them around the house with socks on before you hit the town in them.
