AFTER an incredibly stressful 2020, it's safe to say many of us are trying to embrace the good times, kick back and relax whenever we can this year.
That might explain why celebs are throwing up a peace sign without a care in the world in the latest trend sweeping social media.
Love Islanders Kaz Crossley, Montana Brown and Anna Vakili have been posing with their fingers in a peace sign as they lap up some winter sun on holidays around the world.
Meanwhile even Kim Kardashian is getting in on the action, sharing a snap with her own rendition of the pose with her 197.5 Instagram followers.
Fitness fan Montanna couldn't resist the opportunity to show off her abs as she put her peace sign in the air and reclined on a sun lounger at a posh hotel in the Maldives, where the lucky Love Island star is currently holidaying.
Not to be outdone, Kaz Crossley donned a Christmas hat as she stuck her tongue out and flashed her 'V' fingers at the camera while holidaying in Dubai.
Following closely behind, Annna Valiki gave fans a peek at her cheeky backside while posing with peace fingers on Instagram, as the star enjoyed a holiday in Monte-Carlo.
Meanwhile radio presenter Ashley Roberts flashed a huge grin as she pulled the pose while she sat on an inflatable unicorn on holiday.
All the peace sign pose requires is to muster up your most care-free attitude, before putting your fingers into a 'V' sign and throwing your hands in the air.
Even the A-list are getting in on the action.
Kim Kardashian has long been a lover of the peace sign pose, using the retro hand gesture in numerous photos on Instagram.
OTHER FAMOUS INSTAGRAM TRENDS
Hip cleavage
Forget boobs, for a time the hip bone became the most fashionable body part thanks to the craze for high-leg swimwear.
Women on beaches all over the world were seen adopting the pose, which involves exposing the hips and the sexy crease between the thigh and the hip, and it was a huge hit with curvier celebs to showcase what nature blessed them with.
Plus-sized model Ashley Graham was the trendsetter for the viral hip cleavage pose and Kim Kardashian was even a devotee.
Barbie feet
Barbie’s impressive pins have been envied by women the world over – so it’s easy to see why this one was so popular, as it gives the illusion of never ending legs and it’s one of the easiest ones to perfect.
It basically involves stepping onto your toes, pointing your feet as if you have high heels on, just like the famous doll, and flexing your muscles a little bit.
It was adopted by petite celebs like Kourtney Kardashian and snaps were typically taken on the beach in swimwear or aboard a yacht.
The Bambi
Beloved by the likes of Love Island star Megan Barton-Hanson and former I’m A Celeb winner Vicky Pattison, The Bambi is inspired by the classic Disney movie and was such a huge hit, it even had its own Instagram account.
To get it right, you need to kneel down on the floor with your thighs over your calves – like a cute baby deer.
From here, you can mix it up a bit by either leaning back, putting your hand on your hip or stretching up in the air.
Not to be outdone, model Bella Hadid went one step further though and lay back on a patch of grass for a Full Body Bambi.
The Plandid
This one gets its name from a hybrid of the words ‘planned’ and ‘candid’ and the whole point is that it’s meant to look like the celeb has just been snapped off-guard, even if they’ve spent hours carefully arranging it.
The most popular place for The Plandid snap was near a swimming pool with either one or both hands in the air.
Other shots include staring sideways into the distance or a classic hair flick.
Love Island star Olivia Buckland is an experienced Plandid Poser, while Made in Chelsea star Lucy Watson is also a fan of this one.
The T-Rex
The phrase T-Rex hands was coined by Iraqi-American makeup artist and beauty blogger Huda Kattan – and is said to make hands look elegant, resulting in a killer selfie.
And while this pose may look simple, don’t be fooled though, it takes a lot of practice to get your hands to look natural as you hold them near your face as you don’t want them to look claw-like.
Don’t even attempt this without having a manicure first though.
Jennifer Lopez, US actress Zendaya and British model Jourdan Dunn literally had it nailed.
Whether you're directly facing the camera or turning away, putting your hands in the air will create a flatter stomach, particularly if you arch your back in the process.
Meanwhile, raising your arm caused the muscles to activate, meaning you can show off your toned limbs.
