Meghan Markle and Prince Harry are 'taking advice from friends' and will hire a nanny later this year, insiders claim

With the baby thought to be due in April, it's now been reported that although Meghan and Harry plan to be "hands on" parents, they WILL enlist the help of a nanny – but not straight away.

According to the Mail on Sunday, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex will follow in the footsteps of Prince William and Kate Middleton who enlisted the help of Maria Borrallo, graduate of Norland College, when Prince George was just a few months old.

According to sources, the couple plan to be "hands on" and will hire a nanny "later this year ahead of a rumoured royal tour".

And Kate and Will aren't the only parents Meghan and Harry are said to have been looking to for words of wisdom.

It's reported that the couple have been "listening to advice from friends" including Amal Clooney and Meghan's best friend, stylist Jessica Mulroney whose three children were pageboys and flower girl at the Royal wedding last year.

According to The Mail, 37-year-old Meghan is expected to take maternity leave, with an insider explaining: "This is her first baby and there will be a certain degree of playing it by ear."

The claims come amid speculation that Meghan and Harry, 34, will raise their baby as "gender fluid" and will avoid any stereotypes.

A source close to the couple told Vanity Fair that Meghan Markle, 37, was telling guests at her recent New York baby shower that she would raise their baby in a "fluid" way.

“She was talking openly about it,” said the source.

“Meghan has been talking to some of her friends about the birth and how she and Harry plan to raise their baby. Her exact word was 'fluid'.

"She said they plan to raise their child with a fluid approach to gender and they won’t be imposing any stereotypes."

Last week, former royal butler Paul Burrell claimed Meghan is "likely to buck all traditions when it comes to having the baby" suggesting the royal will give birth at an American hospital.

"Meghan is likely to buck all traditions when it comes to having the baby, just watch where it is born," he told Fabulous Online.

"I don’t think she will use the Lindo Wing, I think she will use an American hospital like The Portland, which is owned by the Hospital Corporation Of America.

"I don’t think she will go the same path as Kate.

"I get the feeling she’s out to do things differently, it’s her way, Meghan’s way.

"I think she’s going to be very strong and defiant."

Meanwhile, the parents-to-be are said to be gearing up for a house move, with the couple set to relocate into the newly renovated Frogmore Cottage, which has undergone a multi-million revamp ahead of the birth.
