KATE Middleton was all smiles today as she put aside any royal family drama today for her first engagement of 2020 with Prince William.
The Duchess of Cambridge, 38, looked beautiful in a long dark green McQueen coat with neat black heels – with a bargain £15.99 dress underneath.
Although it is currently concealed by her coat, the royal mum-of-three's purse-friendly, printed black and white dress is from high street store Zara.
Kate has also accessorised with a pair of £6 dangly earrings from Pakistani designer Zeen, which she was previously pictured wearing back in October, and she is carrying a £495 black Aspinal bag.
The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge put on a brave face this morning after a tumultuous week that saw the Sussexes announce they were quitting and moving to Canada.
Kate was pictured looking tense on Monday ahead of Prince William being locked in crisis talks with his brother and the Queen on Monday.

Kate and William will today join in with workshops, including one session helping grandparents with child-caring responsibilities and another aimed at bringing people together in religiously and ethnically diverse communities.
The duke and duchess will begin the day at City Hall, in Centenary Square, where they will hear about life in Bradford from a group of young people and meet representatives from local businesses who are helping young people into employment.
While Wills, 37, appeared exhausted on Tuesday morning after the crunch talks, he was later seen smiling as he presented knighthoods at Buckingham Palace.

Meghan, 38, is still in Canada – having fled the UK as she and Harry unleashed the bombshell news they were quitting.
She was overnight spotted getting on a seaplane from Vancouver Island to Vancouver, while also performing a quiet visit to a women’s centre.
The former actress has been lying low at an £11million retreat on Vancouver Island – now preparing to welcome Harry back in Canada later this week.
Meanwhile, bombshell court papers claimed Meghan was behind a devastating smear campaign against her dad, Thomas Markle.
