Inside the real Scream house with retro 90s kitchen, VHS player, & scratch marks on walls – you can even stay in it
17th October 2021

HORROR fans are invited to a spooky Halloween stay at the original Scream house – with the classic slasher movie star David Arquette as their Airbnb host.

Up to four brave guests will be able to spend the night at the Northern California home, in celebration of the classic 1996 horror film.

Arquette, who plays Sheriff Dewey Riley, will be their virtual host for the killer overnight stays and give guests tips on how to avoid becoming another victim of masked serial killer Ghostface.

Speaking as Sheriff Dewey in an Airbnb press release, he says: "Protecting the town of Woodsboro is my life's duty, and I've certainly developed a knack for escaping Ghostface.

"As your Host, I'll be keeping a watchful eye on guests to ensure no one gets surprised by an unexpected plot twist.

"Trust me, horror movies always keep it interesting, for better or for worse."

Up to four guests can stay at the home for one night each over Halloween weekend, on October 27, 29, or 31.

They will be treated to a virtual greeting from Sheriff Dewey followed by a Scream movie marathon on VHS, classic 90s snacks, and pizza.

Their nerves will be tested if they dare to use or pick up a phone line connecting them to Ghostface and discover knife marks on the doors to the garage.

The house is decorated in true retro 90s style, with the kitchen just how it was in the famous final scene when Ghostface hunts down his victims one by one at a house party.

The living room has comfy couches and a retro TV for the VHS marathon.

The upstairs bedroom has the classic blue checkered comforter set and the bed has a chest at the bottom.

Fans can request to book a stay at on Tuesday, October 12, starting at 1 pm EST.

The new Scream movie will be released in January 2022, starring Arquette and fellow longtime Scream series survivors Neve Campbell and Courteney Cox.

Similarly, you can also explore the real Halloween house where Jamie Lee Curtis fought Mike Myers.
