SEPTEMBER can be an expensive time for parents buying items for their kids going back to school.
But one mum raved about taking her kids to Deichmann, as you can visit without an appointment and get half price Clarks, Kickers and Sketchers shoes.
Emma Gill said on Manchester Evening News that she took her kids to Deichmann’s Arndale branch ahead of them starting classes again.
She said: “There's actually a really wide choice of school shoes – with its cheaper own brands such as Graceland and Memphis One and well-known brands like Start Rite and Hush Puppies.
“It also recently added Clarks to its catalogue and is now selling a small range of Kickers, which has gone down a storm with shoppers.”
She added that their annual back to school offer means that for every pair of shoes you buy, you get a second half price.

The offer includes brands such as Nike, adidas, Puma and Sketches, so you can also pick up PE shoes too.
She continued: “After much debate – I told you there's a wide choice – mine opted for Deichmann's own brands of school shoes, my daughter choosing a pair of Graceland buckle-fasten shoes for £24.99 and my son opting for some Memphis One black chunky lace-up shoes from the 'teen boys' section, costing £19.99.”
She said not all trainers were in the deal, but her son got Nike Revolution trainers for £47.99, while her daughter got Nike Air Max shoes for £44.99.
Emma said that the best part of the “buy one get one half price” deal is that it doesn’t mean the cheapest item will be free.
