I’m a mom-of-four – my newborn sleeps for 6-hour stretches, my method makes it so easy
23rd May 2022

ONE of the most exhausting things new parents deal with is the struggle to get their babies to sleep.

If your baby won’t fall asleep in a timely manner, it likely means you won’t be getting any sleep either.

A TikToker named Mama Claire posted a video revealing how she successfully gets her little one to fall asleep.

The on-screen text block on her video says: "How I got my five-week-old to sleep six-hour stretches."

Claire starts by saying: “Let’s talk about getting your newborn on a schedule."

She continues: “I know a lot of people think you can’t really put a newborn on a schedule — but what you can do is track their patterns and habits.”

She then explains that she uses an app called Huckleberry that was created to help parents keep up with the behaviors of their infants.

The Huckleberry app helps you track when your baby eats, goes to the bathroom, falls asleep, and more.

What makes the app even better is that it’s totally free to download and use.

Claire even posted a few screenshots of her Huckleberry data so her followers could see for themselves.

For Claire, tracking her baby's sleep, feedings, diaper changes, and growth rates are the most important things to keep up with.

She explains that you can also use the app to track when your baby eats solid foods and when you pump for breastmilk.

The app has options to track when you administer medications, and when you check the temperature of your baby as well.

It's possible to modify categories in order to configure the home screen display based on which tabs are most important to you.

Claire ends her video by saying: “So if you’re a new mom or just a mom, you need to try this app.”

One person in the comment section wrote: “I loved using this app with [my child]! Will definitely be using it again.”

The official Huckleberry TikTok account commented: “Thanks for including us in your parenting journey!”
