THERE'S nothing more exciting than getting the keys to your new home ready for your next chapter to begin.
But one woman, who is from the US, was left gobsmacked when she discovered the rather memorable present the previous tenants had left behind.
And unfortunately for Kenzie, it wasn't a bottle of congratulatory bubbly or a bouquet of flowers.
Taking to TikTok, she shared a short clip where she could be seen rolling the carpet back to reveal a vent in the wooden floorboard underneath.
She then bends down and puts her arm inside, before removing several dirty bowls and dishes filled with old, mouldy food.
Alongside the video, she explains: "The previous owners stuffed the vents full of dirty dishes."

And many of her social media users were left horrified by the rank discovery.
"Kids – bet the parents had no idea," wrote one.

Kenzie replied: "They probably did! The entire house was disgusting. Walls were yellow and carpet was super stained."
A second commented: "Everyone’s talking about them not noticing the dishes but what about the SMELL?"
