IT SEEMS like everyone on TikTok is obsessed with Primark’s viral Velvet Plush Leggings – but are they really worth the money?

Luckily one fashion fan has tested out the bargain thermals so you don’t have to and shared her first impressions online.

Samantha, known online as @midsizesammy, regularly shares fashion advice with her 142,000 followers.

In her recent video, the savvy mum tries on the navy version of the leggings, currently available in-store and online for £7.

“Okay, I’ve just bought the £7 insulated velvet plush leggings from Primark, and I need to give these a go.

“I head to Edinburgh in two weeks, it’s going to be absolutely freezing.

Primark fans are only just realising how the changing rooms really work

“I saw these before I was heading to the till and I was like, ‘yep, I need to try these.’

“As you can see, I’ve not tried them on or anything.

“I love them, I love the colour, I’m just unsure at the moment if they can be styled like leggings, or are they going to look like thermals, I’m not sure.

“They feel seriously thick and warm, and for £7 they’re an absolute bargain.

“So let’s try them on and see what we think.”

In the second part of the video, the fashion fan is seen wearing the navy version with a black roll-neck top and fluffy hat.

“Let’s get onto the leggings. They feel incredible, and I thought they’d feel really thick on, but they don’t. They feel like normal leggings.

“I will say, they’re very high-waisted and with the style of them, I wouldn't be able to tuck anything in.

“I think they’re going to be better with a baggy jumper, or something oversized, so I’m going to grab a jumper and see what they look like styled how I would style it.

“Okay, most random outfit ever, please ignore the colour scheme, but this was the kind of outfit I was thinking if it was colour coordinated. Baggy jumper and some boots.

“I actually think they do the job really, really well.

“If I got some clothes that suited the style more, I actually think they work so well for £7. Wow.

“And they’re definitely not see-through.

“They don’t feel uncomfortable or thick, they feel the same as normal leggings, they just feel warmer and softer. I’m actually obsessed with them.

“If you see these leggings, they have other colours like black, I think they had like a cream colour, but they didn’t have my size in those colours, so I grabbed these.

“I will definitely be grabbing more.”

Fans loved the honest review, with the video gaining more than 30,000 views.

In the comments, Samantha’s followers also shared their love for the bargain buy, with one writing: “I bought these for my joiner partner for work…XL/XXL & he loves them ..best buy.”
