A DIY fan has revealed how she is able to make any wallpaper renter friendly using just some tape.

The interiors pro said her hack is easy and hassle free and perfect for renters who want to shake up their homes.

Mallory Wackerman said she found the perfect wallpaper for her flat but she has just one problem: it wasn't peel and stick.

She said: “So I bought this really cute wallpaper for my apartment. But the only problem with it is that it's not peel and stick.

But Mallory said the tree print wallpaper from Mayfair was a must have.

As a renter Mallory realised she would need to adapt her wallpaper if she wanted to keep it.

The interior fan said: “Peel and stick can be so expensive & also there aren’t nearly as many options.”

She said: “I'm gonna show you how to make any wallpaper renter friendly and removable.

“First things first, you gotta grab some painters tape and tape horizontal lines all the way across your wall.”

It’s important you make sure you are not just taping the rim of your walls but consecutive lines so that your wallpaper has something properly to stick to.

Mallory warned: “ Make sure you tape over any outlets like this.”

However if it’s a bit easier you can actually unscrew a lot of outlets then screw them back in when you're finished installing your wallpaper.

Next grab some double sided tape and stick on top of your painters tape, be careful not stick it to the paint of your walls.

Mallory said: “Then take some double sided tape and put it right over the painters tape.

Lastly the DIY fan sticks her wallpaper to the double sided stick tape, make sure you take with this part and use something to smooth out any bubbles.

She said: “Now just stick your wallpaper to the double sided tape and cut out any door frames or outlets with an exacto knife.”

Many viewers were very impressed that Mallory was able to adapt her wallpaper.

One user said: “Yes!!! Mallory this is my fave idea like ever! I also just found out they still pre-sticky sheets to make regular wallpaper rental friendly too.”
