It goes without saying, that we're always up for taking advantage of cheaper prices on clothes, accessories, shoes, bags and jewellery.

But when you're slumped on the sofa in a post Christmas dinner stupor, nothing is more comforting than shopping the sales from home, smug in the knowledge that you're away from the chaos of the high street.

What should I look out for in the Boxing Day sales?

If you havn't yet chosen an outfit for New Year's Eve, Boxing Day is the perfect time.

Post Christmas, retailers immediately try to shift all of the sparkly, sequin, satin and dreamy velvet pieces that feel too festive.

The same goes for boots, coats and all things wintery. Brands will be looking toward to spring so you can grab expensive pieces at great prices – after all, January and February are the coldest months!
