Will & Grace stars Debra Messing and Megan Mullally have hinted that a major feud may have erupted between the hit sitcom’s cast as the pair unfollowed each other on Instagram .
The actresses, who play Grace Adler and Karen Walker, also posted cryptic messages on their pages suggesting that all is not well behind the scenes of the popular show.
Fans have now speculated that the ‘rift’ may be the reason the show is being cancelled at the end of its 11th season.
The rumours began circulating after 60-year-old Megan posted a now-deleted Insta story about feeling “the best” after losing her “attachment to somebody who isn’t good for you”.0
The message was posted around the same time she unfollowed her co-star.
The Instagram post came just days after Debra urged fans to vote for Will & Grace at the Emmys, but failed to tag Megan on the post despite her being a prominent member of the cast.
Those tagged on the post even included series' director James Burrows and co-creator Max Mutchnick.
Debra and Megan have worked on Will & Grace since 1998, with the two developing a close friendship over the last 20 years.
Fans have expressed their sadness following speculation that the pair have fallen out, with one writing: “People are saying that Megan Mullally and Debra Messing aren't friends anymore and I've never been sadder in my whole life!”.
Another wrote: “Megan Mullally and Debra Messing unfollowing each other… I finally know what it feels like to be a child of divorce.”
A third echoed the sentiments, adding: “my life is falling apart!”
