TOWIE’s Tommy Mallet and Georgia Kousoulou said an emotional goodbye to the reality show as the latest episode aired on Sunday night.
The pair are long-serving cast members of the reality show but filmed their last scenes last month and are departing as they prepare to welcome their first child.
Tommy, 28, and Georgia, 29, are expecting a little boy and have said a temporary goodbye to TOWIE – but will be sharing some of their life as new parents in spin-off episodes.
On Instagram, Georgia shared the first snap of herself and Tommy, taken seven years ago, as she promised fans that they are not saying goodbye to the show permanently.
She captioned the picture: “Our first picture.. the @towie Ibiza trip! The trip that changed my life .
"7 years later.. it’s time to be mum & dad. thank you for all your lovely messages, your love & support is overwhelming .. this isn’t goodbye for good, just for now.”
Tommy too marked their departure from the show as he shared a throwback snap of himself and Georgia in Marbella, with Georgia looking incredible in a bikini and wedges.
He captioned the picture: “It’s been a pleasure”, with Georgia commenting underneath: “Time to be mum & dad now.”
TOWIE’s Instagram shared a clip from the episode as the expectant parents discussed the next part of their life away from the cameras and wrote: “We couldn’t be happier for Georgia and Tommy.”
Fans wished the couple luck as they prepare to welcome their baby boy, and made sure to let them know they will be missed on-screen.
One person wrote: “Gonna miss these two their my favourites… their gonna be amazing parents.”
Another said: “Y do I feel like we ain’t gone see them again. my fave fave couple good luck and i wish them both so many blessings.” [sic]
A third commented: “You and Tommy are going to be amazing parents xx.”
Georgia has confirmed to The Sun that she and Tommy will be sharing parts of the next chapter of their lives as parents on screen in two hour specials.
However, the beauty admitted that she doesn’t want her son to grow up on TV as she explained: "When he’s only a baby I will, but when he’s a bit older I’ll probably rethink it once he goes to nursery because I don’t know if I want him growing up on TV.
"I haven’t made that decision yet, but when they’re babies – they’re fine because they don’t know any different, and they change so much."
Speaking about the spin-off episodes, Georgia said: "You’re going to see us moving house, and the first episode will be all about before the baby comes, and the second episode will be once the baby is here. So it’s just two hour specials."
