TOWIE star Liam Gatsby confirms he’s split from girlfriend Dani Imbert
14th April 2022

The Only Way Is Essex stars Liam Gatsby and Dani Imbert have officially parted ways.

Last year, it was reported that the pair had gone their separate ways, however, a separate source later dismissed the speculation and claimed they were still together.

However, a few months after the first break-up reports, Gatsby has now confirmed the split.

Liam confirmed in an Instagram Q&A they had split, writing: "We went our separate ways. It was the best decision for the both of us. I wish her all the best."

Dani's good pal Ella Rae Wise has also now spoken of her "shock" as she confirmed that the pair have broken-up.

"I wasn't expecting it, Dani is the sort of girl that wouldn't go and air anyone's business," Ella began. "At the end of the day, she's sort of got to think about Liam not just herself."

Ella added to The Sun: "So when it all did come out, we were all a little bit shocked."

She went on to say that she would "definitely" have her pal Dani's back, but she also knew Liam well and was "quite mutual" in the situation.

Explaining that it would now be "awkward" for the pair when they return to filming scenes for TOWIE this summer, Ella added that they would "have a lot to talk about".

When asked about a potential reconciliation: "Too early to say because we haven't been filming for so long, they haven't seen each other in ages."

Dani and Liam have both unfollowed each other on Instagram.

Speculation that the pair first split began in September last year – however, they were quick to deny the rumours.

A TOWIE source said at the time: "They have not split – they're very much together despite the rumours."

Opening up the romance months earlier in May, Dani told OK!: "Obviously, I thought he was good looking and I knew he wasn't a typical boy from around here, he wasn't like most boys in Essex, that's initially what it was for me.

"I'd seen the show so I knew he was just normal and genuine, I felt like his personality was very much like mine."

Liam agreed: "Since we've spent a lot of time together, we're realised we are very similar.

"I feel like I'm different from the people on TOWIE, I've got that Essex side but I've also got that urban side as well, and she's very much like that too."
