Lucifer fans are excited to see Tom Ellis return in the second half of season five as the much-beloved devil. However, some are also keen to know a bit more about the actor himself and his life off the screen. Here’s everything Ellis has revealed about his family life away from the Netflix show.
Does Lucifer star Tom Ellis have children?
Fans of Lucifer will know Ellis best for his role as the charming Lucifer Morningstar in the drama.
He has played the character for five seasons so far and viewers have fallen in love with his will they or won’t they romance with Chloe Decker (played by Lauren German).
One character trait viewers find endlessly amusing is Lucifer’s aversion to children.
In the show, this is shown through young Trixie’s (Scarlett Estevez) quest to make Lucifer her best friend to hilarious effects.
Given this storyline, some viewers might be curious to know whether Ellis has children in real life at all.
The Welsh actor actually has three children – Nora Ellis, Florence Elsie Ellis and Marnie Mae Ellis.
Nora is his first child from his relationship with his former partner Estelle Morgan.
He shares his other two daughters Florence and Marnie with his ex-wife Tamzin Outhwaite.
Ellis was married to the EastEnders actor from 2006 until 2014.
The actor is now married to American television and film screenwriter Meaghan Oppenheimer.
The pair tied the knot back in 2019 and live together in Los Angeles.
However, the star has revealed this came with its difficulties earlier in 2020.

Ellis opened up about how hard he found it to not see his children for seven months during lockdown.
He told The Guardian in an interview back in August: “It’s been excruciating.
“There is a part of you that isn’t there when they’re not around.”
At the time he was discussing plans for their long-awaited reunion.
However, Ellis did confide in the publication about how difficult he found the time.
He added: “I don’t ever really want to be in that headspace ever again.
“Trying to remain positive while the world is falling apart and having your children away from you and not knowing you will see them was just … yeah.”
Lucifer season 5A is available to stream on Netflix now.
