Tayshia Adams explains her hospitalization, more news

On the mend

Tayshia Adams is beginning to feel normal again after a brief hospitalization. Earlier in the week, the “Bachelorette” alum worried her fans after posting a photo from the hospital. The photo was somewhat worrisome given that her health issue seemed to happen after running the New York City Marathon. She’s now apologizing for “scaring” her fans, but making it clear the marathon had nothing to do with her situation. In an Instagram video posted on Nov. 13, Tayshia explained that she’d been having intermittent stomach pain for a few days, but “nothing substantial.” On Nov. 11, she sought treatment after not being able to sit up due to the pain. At the hospital, doctors determined she had “a really bad kidney infection.” “It’s getting better, [there’s] a tad bit of pain, but [it] just feels not right quite yet,” she said in the video posted to her Instagram Story.. “But this morning, thankfully, I’m on the up and up.” She said her lack of water intake was a culprit in her health scare. “I do not drink water, like, at all,” she said. “And it’s really bad, especially after a marathon, so that maybe could’ve been the effect that it may have had on this whole thing. But other than that, it’s really just me.”

One exception to freedom…

Britney Spears is tasting freedom for the first time in nearly 14 years, and she can do what she wants… with one exception. The pop star is still forbidden from reconnecting with notorious former manager Sam Lufti. TMZ pointed out that a five-year restraining order, signed by a judge in 2019, remains in tact. The court order keeps Sam away from Britney and her family. Britney’s parents consistently made unsavory allegations against Sam in Britney’s pre-conservatorship life. In fact, the 2019 restraining order was actually the second one Jamie and Lynne Spears got against him, as they did the same thing in 2008. Whether Britney even wants to reconnect with Sam isn’t known. For what it’s worth, after a judge officially terminated Britney’s conservatorship on Nov. 12, Sam posted a message to social media that said, “Britney is a free woman.”

Dirty little secret

Kenny G is letting you in on the dirty little behind his trademark hair: he rarely washes it. The  legendary saxophonist told Page Six that he cleans his hair once every three weeks. “It doesn’t get dirty,” he said. “I’m a clean guy.” When washing day comes, he’s also not using pricey shampoos, turning instead to Pantene shampoo and conditioner and MOP defining cream. “Unfortunately, I don’t have any endorsements,” he said. “So, I don’t gain anything by using them, other than they’re the right thing.” For those doing the math, he washes his hair about 17 times a year!

Messages released

Duchess Meghan’s thoughts about her father have been outed. As part of a lawsuit she filed against Associated Newspapers Limited, several of Meghan’s text messages and emails were released. In the messages, Meghan told her former communications chief Jason Knauf of her plans to pen a note to her father, Thomas Markle, as he gave multiple media interviews about her after pulling out of attending her wedding. “The catalyst for my doing this is seeing how much pain this is causing H,” Meghan said in an August 2018 text, using her pet name for Prince Harry. “Even after a week with his dad and endlessly explaining the situation, his family seem to forget the context — and revert to ‘can’t she just go and see him and make this stop?'” In the messages, obtained by People, she continued, “They fundamentally don’t understand so at least by writing H will be able to say to his family… ‘She wrote him a letter and he is still doing it.’ By taking this form of action I protect my husband from this constant berating, and while unlikely perhaps it will give my father a moment to pause.'” Meghan was aware that her dad would likely release any text or email to the press, and she was calculated about the messages. “Obviously everything I have drafted is with the understanding that it could be leaked so I have been meticulous in my word choice… Given I’ve only ever called him daddy it makes sense to open as such (despite him being less than paternal), and in the unfortunate event that it leaked it would pull at the heartstrings.”

Engagement news

Taylor Lautner has found the one. On Nov. 13, the “Twilight” star announced on Instagram that he and girlfriend Tay Dome are engaged. “11.11.2021,” he captioned two beautiful images from the proposal. “And just like that, all of my wishes came true.” The images showed that Taylor donned a suit as he got down on one knee in a room filled with candles and rose petals. Further, a neon sign was illuminated above a fireplace with his last name. Tay shared the images of the proposal, too, writing, “my absolute best friend I CANNOT WAIT TO SPEND FOREVER WITH YOU.” Taylor and Tay have been together for three years.

Body defending

Emily Ratajkowski doesn’t pay attention to her critics, but she’s aware of them. Back in March, just 11 days after welcome her son, Sylvester Apollo Bear, the actress posted a photo with a flat stomach, something that didn’t sit well with many of her followers. Actress Claire Holt even called it “annoying.” In a new chat with Stellar magazine, Emily commented on the online hate she get about her body. “I have a hard relationship with that kind of stuff because it’s just my body and it’s my experience,” she said. “I think that women’s bodies get talked about whether you snap back too fast or not quick enough, or your boobs are too big or too small, or you’re too skinny or too fat or whatever.” By now, Emily said she’s “gotten used to” the criticism.
