Stacey Solomon has revealed she was in hospital this weekend to check on her unborn child, but confirmed her baby girl is ‘happy and safe’.
The Loose Women star is currently pregnant with her fourth child, expecting a girl with fiance Joe Swash.
Fans had noticed that Stacey, 31, hadn’t posted on her social media page for a few days causing concern.
She returned on Sunday with an update on her pregnancy and a photo of her bare baby bump during her latest scan.
Stacey explained: ‘Good morning. Sorry I’ve been so quiet we’ve spent the weekend checking in on princess pickle.’
‘All is OK. And we go to see her this morning to double check everything…Feeling so grateful that she’s happy, comfy and safe in there. Happy Sunday,’ she reassured.
Alongside photos of her scan, Stacey also addressed concerns from her followers about the size of her baby bump.
‘Lots of people have said my bump is very small, and it really is measuring at 2% instead of 20%+ but thankfully baby is exactly where she needs to be today despite my tummy size,’ she revealed.
The TV star continued: ‘Every pregnancy, every bump ad every baby is different. And as kind as people are I think sometimes it’s important to remember when telling someone they look “big” or “small” or anything in between it can be so worrying for the mummy growing a human and worrying why they look so different to someone else.
‘And can be really scary. I know people don’t mean any harm by saying “you’re so petite and tiny” but it definitely has played on my mind a lot and made me worry.’
Last week, Stacey made her final appearance on ITV’s Loose Women before beginning her maternity leave, and was treated to a baby shower by her co-hosts.
She is already mother to two older sons, 13-year-old Zach and nine-year-old Leighton, from previous relationships, while she shares two-year-old son Rex with Joe.
The former EastEnders actor, 39, is also a father to son Harry, 13, from a past relationship.
