The Loose Women panellist prides herself on keeping it real with her followers – and Stacey Solomon’s most recent Insta story was no exception.
The 29-year-old took to her personal account to break the news that she hasn’t been able to have a bath since giving birth three weeks ago.
Opening up to her 1.8million followers, the mum-of-three admitted that she hoped her “noon” was sufficiently healed in time for a dip in the tub.
Sharing a snap of a box of bath-time goodies, she discussed the reality of post-pregnancy life.
Her post read: “Definitely going to attempt to have a bath today.”
Before adding: ”I am worried about my noon but apparently it’s all healed and ready to bathe, wahoo!”
Oftentimes, new mums are advised to wait several weeks before taking a bath after the ordeal of childbirth.
While showers are permitted, soaking in the tub can affect any stitches that may be in place in a woman’s private parts.
This isn’t the first time the former X Factor contestant has opened up about the grittier side of motherhood – she previously revealed that breastfeeding was causing her pain.
In another brutally honest post, she said: “After not mastering the latch that leaving my boobs engorged and my nipples feeling like they’d been rubbed on sandpaper I think we are finally getting there.”
Though she is already mum to two little boys, Zachary, 11, and Leighton, eight, it’s been several years since the singer has had to adjust to post-pregnancy life.
Her little ones seem delighted to have a brand new brother in the house, and even jokingly refer to her “Pepperami nipples” when their mum needs to breastfeed.
Despite the physical drawbacks, the Dagenham-born lass couldn’t be happier to welcome new baby Rex to the family.
As proud new-dad Joe Swash admitted recently: “We are overwhelmed, overjoyed and apprehensive of what’s to come.”
Hopefully, he’ll be able to take over babysitting duties once in a while so that Stacey can enjoy a well-deserved soak in the tub.
