Sleater-Kinney have released a new track from the band’s upcoming album, The Center Won’t Hold.
“The Future Is Here” is the second track from the LP that the rock band shared this year.
The St. Vincent-produced album will be dropped on August 16 via Mom + Pop.
Speaking about the album, guitarist Carrie Brownstein said, “We always planned on getting back in the studio — it was just a matter of when.”
“If there is an overarching principle to this album, it’s that the tools on which we were relying proved inadequate. So we sought new ones, both metaphorically and literally,” she told NPR.
The all-woman band is planning a tour of Europe early next year.
