Prince Harry displayed a "mature form of sadness" at the GQ Men of Year awards on Wednesday evening, according to a body language expert.

The Duke of Sussex was back in the spotlight on Wednesday night to virtually present a prize to Dame Sarah Gilbert, Professor Catherine Green and the team behind the Oxford/AstraZeneca vaccine.

Body language expert Judi James believes his appearance is rather telling about how the Prince is feeling at the moment.

"Harry’s rather low-key body language here appears to place him in guru/expert mode as he delivers a lecture about vaccine ‘disparity’ and ‘mass-scale misinformation’ from those who ‘peddle lies and fear’", she told The Mirror.

"By using what looks like an understated delivery he appears to move attention to his words here."

She was referring to the speech Harry made, in which he urged governments to do more to vaccinate poorer countries, and said that communities need access to "trustworthy information" about the jabs.

"He seems to be sitting rather than standing and with no apparent gesticulation or the signature Harry grin," Judi added.

"Along with the formal dress and huge, funereal-looking flower arrangement behind him, his look is very grown-up and rather regal.

"His social smile is a mouth-curl with the lips closed to endorse the seriousness of his lecture-made points and his small head movements from side to side suggest an authoritative and rather mature form of sadness rather than any visual burning of anger."

Just hours before the show, Piers Morgan, who was one of the guests, was vindicated in an Ofcom report after he rubbished Harry's wife, Meghan Markle's, claims that she had felt suicidal during the couple's interview with Oprah Winfrey earlier this year.

Piers, 56, stepped down from his job the Good Morning Britain after his comments sparked a whopping 58,000 complaints to the broadcasting watchdog.

But, Ofcom released their ruling yesterday that GMB was not in breach of the broadcasting code over Piers' comments.

Meghan is predicted to be “absolutely livid” about Ofcom’s choice after she made a complaint about him.
