I’m A Celebrity: Noel Edmonds larks about by the pool…as he DENIES rumour of secret feud with Holly Willoughby

He was the first star to be evicted from I’m A Celebrity on Friday after failing to gain immunity, making his exit after just nine days on the show.

And Noel Edmonds, 69, spoke out about speculation of a feud between himself and co-host Holly Willoughby on Sunday.

The presenter put on an animated display as he posed for photos in an eye-catching floral shirt while rubbing his stomach.

Larking about: Noel Edmonds, 69, appeared to be settling into post-jungle life with ease as he was pictured larking about the pool of the five-star Versace Hotel on Sunday following his shock exit

Aside from rubbing his belly and pulling faces, Noel smiled for photos while sitting on a ledge beside the luxury resort’s pool.

He spoke to The Mirror about a frostiness first descending on the pair when Noel appeared on This Morning in 2016: ‘You’d have to talk to Holly but she said to me this morning it was b*****ks. There’s no feud with Phil and Holly.

‘We’re all entitled to an opinion about certain things. We’re all professionals, she’s upset about the idea, I’m upset about the idea, it doesn’t exist. How many times does one have to say it doesn’t exist’.

He added that the show’s hosts Dec and Holly were shocked that he was evicted first: ‘think it’s fair to say everyone at ITV was gobsmacked. I’ve just been chatting to Dec and Holly and we had a really, really nice chat and both of them were just saying ‘that was unbelievable’

He revealed that he has had offers for a show with campmate former football manager Harry Redknapp: ‘I think it is OK to say there have been a couple of ideas put forward for a Noel and Harry show.

‘But my boy is still in there so we will have to wait for him to come out. We did have a laugh and I think judging by what I have heard it went down well with the viewers.

‘I’m sorry, you knew the deal. The public broke the deal. The threat(of a comeback) is there. There are offers coming in, but it is early days’.

Noel’s glowing appearance comes after ITV bosses have reportedly ordered an inquest into his shocking early exit from the jungle – after spending a record breaking £600,000 on the television veteran.

But he later spoke out about the excess footage of himself: ‘ITV have actually – not stockpiled because there wasn’t loads of them – but there was stuff of me that was recorded to use because they didn’t expect me to go.

‘So they don’t know what to do with it now.’

All in the details: He worked his voluminous coif off his face

Producers were said to be extremely disappointed that their big star name was eliminated so early on, privately admitting it was ‘an expensive mistake’.

A source told the Daily Star Sunday: ‘The Immunity Games were a daft idea. It meant dead certs to go got a free pass and put the big names at risk.

‘If he was up against Malique or Sair it would have been a different story. There was said to be genuine shock backstage after Noel was voted off.’

Yet a source for the show told the MailOnline: ‘An inquest is not needed, the vote off is in the hands of the viewers and they chose not to save him.

Gone: It was thought the presenter would ‘go the distance’, yet he was the first camp-mate to be evicted from the jungle on Friday after failing to gain immunity in a series of trials

‘The Immunity Games are not new to I’m A Celebrity, viewers saw all campmates compete and the celebrities with the least points were up for eviction. The public then voted for their favourite and the celebrity with the lowest votes left the Jungle.’

Noel’s early exit – after just nine days in camp – meant the former Deal or No Deal host was paid a staggering £66,666 per day, due to his reported £600,000 salary which made him the show’s highest ever paid star.

This comes in stark contrast to some of the other stars’ salaries, with actress Emily Atack set to earn no more than £40,000, and Hollyoaks’ Malique Thompson-Dwyer falls to the bottom of the pack with a mere £15,000.
