Zara and Mike Tindall 's son Lucas has a rather strange request for Christmas this year, his father has revealed.
The former rugby champ turned royal, 44, discussed Christmas gifts on his podcast The Good, The Bad & The Rugby with co-stars Alex Payne and James Haskell.
James, 37, who welcomed his first child with wife Chloe Madeley earlier this year, joked that their daughter Bodhi "a box with wrapping paper in it" for the first couple of years of her like.
Responding to this, Mike joked about his one year old son's Christmas gifts: "I tell you what you can do – just get a bag of frozen peas, because that's all that Lucas wants. Pull the freezer out, bag of frozen peas, pour it on the floor.
"He's got a playroom full of stuff – not interested. Go to the fridge, take all the milk out, try and crack the bottle, spill it all on the floor…"
Mike shares son Lucas, and daughters Mia, eight, and Lena, four, with wife Zara, who is the granddaughter of the late Queen Elizabeth II, and is currently 20th in line to the throne.
Mike left the nation in stitches earlier this year when he appeared on I'm A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! declaring himself to be an "open book" he even discussed the time he accidentally flashed his mother-in-law, Princess Anne.
Recalling the awkward occasion, he said: "Zara had like a 30th birthday, it was a disco 70s themed one, I was dancing on the dance floor, I had like flares on, full outfit but it was quite tight, nothing ever fits – rugby player’s bum and legs – so I was dancing with my mother-in-law and I did a sl*t drop in front of my mother-in-law.
"Ripped my trousers, straight in front of her. It happened to be that my boxers that I had on at that time said ‘nibble my nuts’.
"As I’ve turned round, she’s gone, ‘I’d rather not.’ I’ve gone, ‘I’m going’ and walked off."
During his stint in the jungle Mike also opened up about meeting Zara and their "boozy" first date, telling his campmates: "I was at the World Cup, she was out watching, I got dropped from the semi-final.
"I was p****d off and so I went for a beer with another guy who got dropped and a guy who was over [in Sydney]. They’d met her before and they introduced us and then got chatting."
“So if you never got dropped you never would have met her?” Hollyoaks star Owen Warner quizzed, as Mike joked it had been the "best decision" of player Clive Woodward's life.
Mike then went on to say he and Zara chose a "local lunch" for their first official date, which ended up being "quite a boozy one".
"Then we figured out that we both quite like getting smashed. It was a good start," he joked.
