Love Island's Tyler Cruickshank has revealed that he 'underestimated' his feelings for Kaz Kamwi following his time in Casa Amor.

The 26 year old, from south London, who came in fourth place on the final of the ITV2 show on Monday 23 August with Essex beauty Kaz, 26, described how he 'didn't expect to feel that way' when he walked back into the main Villa following his stay at Casa Amor.

Speaking in his first joint interview with Kaz, Tyler, who re-coupled with Clarisse Juliette in Casa Amor, revealed how his feelings were 'stronger' when he saw Kaz standing with Matthew MacNabb.

The former estate agent admitted: "The main thing is when I came back into the main Villa, I underestimated my feelings for Kaz and I walked down and stood beside Laura and I saw Kaz with Matt and I didn’t expect to feel that way.

"I knew I liked Kaz but I didn’t expect to feel that strongly. A lot of people felt that I didn’t navigate it the right way but I found my way back eventually."

Kaz commented: "When Tyler walked back I thought, ‘This is going to be interesting’ and I feel like I did learn a lot in that situation.

"It was really hard to navigate dealing with Tyler, Matt and myself – I didn’t know how to communicate with everybody. But I’ve learnt from that now and I’m glad it’s all sorted!"

To which Tyler added: "It all worked out in the end!"

Speaking further about their Love Island experience, the couple admitted that the pair have come out of the process 'stronger' following the obstacles they faced.

Kaz said: "I would describe it as a wholesome experience. I walked in on day one and left on the last day. I've grown a lot as a person and I’ve met so many lovely people.

"I went in there wanting to find a connection with someone and I’ve walked out with a connection with someone even stronger than what I expected it to be so I’d describe it as wholesome. I think I accomplished everything!

Tyler added: "I stayed true to myself and I have no regrets. I feel as a couple we’ve come out the other end from the things that did happen and I think that we were stronger for it.

"The main thing is that we have no regrets as a couple and I wouldn’t change the journey for anything."

Kaz and Tyler were beaten by Millie Court and Liam Reardon who won, Chloe Burrows and Toby Aromolaran who were runners up, and Faye Winter and Teddy Soares who placed third.

Meanwhile many of Kaz and Tyler's fans couldn't believe what they were hearing when the couple were announced by host Laura Whitmore as coming in last, and took to Twitter to express their anger.

One fan tweeted: "Kaz and Tyler fourth??!? Get me on the phone to Ofcom"

Another viewer wrote: " @Ofcom. I want one of your advisors to recount the votes while I’m on the phone tomorrow. I need to know how Kaz and Tyler came 4th"

Someone else commented: "Thank u ofcom for receiving my complaint about how kaz and Tyler shouldn’t be last"
