The ‘Kardashians’ star opens up about her health and fitness journey in an interview, adding that she became a gym maniac following her split from Lamar Odom.
AceShowbiz –Khloe Kardashian is no longer fighting with the scale. “The Kardashians” star opened up about her health and fitness journey in an interview with InStyle, adding that she became a gym maniac following her split from Lamar Odom.
“The reason why I turned to the gym was actually through my divorce. I didn’t really know what to do. Of course, in the beginning, you [have to] get over that hump of it being really hard and something so new for you,” Khloe, whose divorce from the former Lakers player was finalized in December 2016, shared. “But I felt so accomplished.”
The reality TV star further claimed, “I never thought I was fat until the media told me I was fat.” She added that before her 40-lb. weight loss, she used to be “obsessive” with the numbers on the scale.
“When I first started [working out], I cared so much,” she recalled. “Maybe [it’s] just being younger. I think you care about the scale. The scale Fs with you. I don’t even look at a scale anymore. I think it’s really unhealthy. I haven’t in years. They’re just numbers.”
Khloe also shared that being in control is what keeps her dedicated to her health journey. “I’m sort of a control freak, but in life, we can’t control everything,” she admitted. “But the gym, what I put in it, I know I’m going to get out of it. And being a control freak – I’m proud of it – I love that I have that control.”
The “Keeping Up with the Kardashians” alum has now become more focused on the endorphins she gets from working out than the “aesthetic” that she achieves. “I go off of how confident I feel in myself. I’m all about [doing] what’s best for me, mind, body, soul. There is no one size fits all,” the mom of two said.
Back in January, Khloe hit back at the “mean people” who accused her of using the diabetes drug Ozempic to slim down and called her “skinny” body “disturbing.” She wrote in an Instagram comment, “Let’s not discredit my years of working out. I get up 5 days a week at 6am to train.” She added, “Please stop with your assumptions. I guess new year still means mean people.”
