Khloe Kardashian Opens Up About Doing IVF With Tristan Thompson
11th March 2021

Khloé Kardashian continues to be open about her fertility journey. On last season’s Keeping Up With the Kardashians, the 36-year-old chronicled her experience freezing her eggs (via Hollywood Life). She also let viewers into conversations she was having with Tristan Thompson, her on-again-off-again boyfriend and the father of her daughter, True, about adding to their family.

Now, Kardashian has an update for fans about the status of baby number two, opening up on the digital series Lady Parts. The Good American designer had both good and bad news to share, noting that she has done IVF three times so far (via Page Six). “I froze my eggs once already,” she said, adding that sadly, when she went to have those eggs defrosted “none of them survived.”

After that failed attempt, Kardashian learned her eggs were not strong enough to be frozen, and upon consulting Thompson, decided to create embryos with him.

Happily, Thompson was feeling Kardashian’s plan, telling her last season, “Whatever is going to make you feel comfortable and feel safest, that’s what I’m on board with.”

During the Lady Parts discussion, Kardashian then explained about her latest IVF round to extract her eggs, “They should be mixed immediately with sperm to make embryos. So I actually have made embryos.”

Unfortunately, it has not been the right time for the couple to try to get pregnant, with the reality star saying, “And then, you know, with COVID, finding this whole fertility process, if you do need assistance in fertility, it’s much more challenging during COVID.”

For now, her plans to try for a sibling for True are on a back burner, with a trailer for an upcoming episode of KUWTK showing a clip of the would-be parents discussing an alternative method of having their baby. “You’re trusting the surrogate with your unborn child and it’s just scary,” Kardashian is seen saying (via Us Weekly).
