How Molly-Mae Hague and Tommy Fury kept baby’s arrival secret for a week
30th January 2023

Molly-Mae Hague and Tommy Fury have announced the arrival of their beautiful baby daughter, telling fans she was born on January 23rd.

The happy couple, both 23, who met and fell in love on Love Island in 2019, have also managed to keep the birth secret for a week as they settled in with their new arrival.

Despite an unexpected twist that saw Tommy's rival and fellow boxer Jake Paul announce the arrival in the wake of their fight news, the new parents kept quiet.

Molly-Mae also hasn't posted any stories or posts on her Instagram page since January 20 – 10 days before the announcement.

Yet while many had speculated that the PrettyLittleThing creative director's silence meant she had already gone into labour, and possibly given birth, she then made a savvy decision to upload a video on her YouTube page.

While comments flooded the reality TV star's feed with questions over her baby's possible arrival, Molly-Mae shared a video of herself packing her hospital bag.

The sudden upload ensured fans were kept guessing over whether the baby's birthday had already been and gone, as Molly-Mae also filmed herself talking about how she tried to breastfeed herself.

Boxer Tommy also shared a series of stories of himself travelling down from Manchester to London, as he prepared for a press conference on his massive fight against Jake next month.

It had already been reported that Molly-Mae had secretly planned to give birth to her first child in London rather than Manchester, in a bid to keep a tight hold on security.

Tommy could have actually been travelling down to visit his girlfriend and their little girl once more, with a pitstop for work along the way.

When asked if Molly-Mae had already given birth during the press conference, which took place before today's announcement, Tommy immediately replied with "no comment" to reporters.

Other than her YouTube video, Molly-Mae remained largely off social media for 10 days before her birth announcement, only returning to send Kate Ferdinand a congratulations message after the former TOWIE star announced her pregnancy.

Some fans suspected the star had gone into labour with her cryptic caption on her last post on her grid before her birth announcement, as Molly-Mae shared two peaceful snaps of her holding her fully-grown bump in the bedroom.

"I really couldn’t have asked my body to provide a better home for the first 9 months of our little girls life…" she wrote at the time.

"So blessed to say my pregnancy has been a complete and utter dream."

Tommy and best friend Maura Higgins, who has since congratulated the star, also commented with words of support and heart emojis, prompting fans to speculate the pregnant star was feeling the first twinges of labour.

Now the couple have made their wonderful news public, Tommy and Molly-Mae have shared snapshots from their private week as a family.

As well as an adorable clip of their little girl sleeping on daddy, Molly-Mae gushed over her partner as she wrote "you are my world" over the top of her stories.

She also posted another snap cuddled up to her newborn as she opened up about the overwhelming experience with fans.

"One week old today. I can't believe we get to keep you forever. Becoming your mum has been the best thing to ever happen to me… It doesn't seem possible but my love for you grows with each passing moment.

"There is no feeling like holding you in my arms little one, my heart literally explodes."

"Thank you for entering this world safely for us and blessing us with the gift of being your parents," the star continued.

"We promise to love and care for you unconditionally forever," Molly-Mae then added.
