Holly Willoughby has been winning high praise from viewers and critics alike as she co-hosts I’m Celebrity, but according to Philip Schofield her first year will also be her last.
The This Morning host warned fans not to get ‘too attached’ to Holly because a second year of her and Dec together was not on the cards.
"It’s very much a caretaker role," he told the Daily Star.
Phil, who has been tuning in nightly to watch his ‘TV wife’ in action added: "Holly has been a triumph in the jungle.
"I am so pleased because it’s worked out so well for Dec in what was a tricky situation.
"It was always going to be a difficult series for Dec so I was happy Holly was able to step in."
Ant’s usual TV partner – and best mate – Ant McPartlin was forced withdraw from the 2018 series following a well publicised battle with sobriety.
While over on This Morning, Holly’s role has been filled by former Saturday’s singer Rochelle Humes – with Phil saying they’ve been getting on just fine.
"It’s been lovely working with Rochelle, she was my first choice and it’s been great fun."
"But Dec got very lucky – he’s looking after my telly wife," he said.
