Ferne McCann talks ‘inspiring friends’ amid broken friendship with Billie Shepherd
20th January 2023

Former TOWIE star Ferne McCann took to her Instagram Story this morning (January 20) to discuss inspiring friends and friendships amid her broken relationship with former pal Billie Shepherd.

In the video clip Ferne began: "Okay so this is rather beautiful because as I started to record this Insta story it was 10:10 on the clock. I have no idea what the spiritual angel numbers ten ten means but you better bet I am going to Google it straight after.

"I just wanted to share this with you. I was having a conversation with a friend this morning and she was saying how much her friend has inspired her recently.

"And I just thought 'wow you know what? If you've got a friend, or a loved one, who has really inspired you through their actions, or just they way they tackle life, tell them, send them a text."

The TV star continued: "I think we go through life sometimes forgetting to let people know how much we love them and how much they inspire us and how much we are in total awe of their strength.

"So after this Insta story I'm going to jump off and text some friends in my life that have inspired me or have done something that I'm just in total awe and express my gratitude maybe if they've done something for me.

"I think it's really important to spread the positivity, raise the good vibes and how insane if you received just a random text out of the blue from one of your friends to say 'hey the other day you did this and I think you're amazing and I love you and I love your strength and character."

It comes as Ferne is said to said to be feeling “lost and left out” after not being a part of her former BFF Billie’s 33rd birthday celebrations.

First Time Mum star Ferne would usually be front and centre of close pal Billie’s celebrations with the pair having marked many milestones together, but the pair’s friendship hasn’t been plain sailing since voice notes were leaked allegedly featuring Ferne’s voice talking disparagingly about Billie and her sister Sam Faiers.

And a source close to Ferne has now told OK! that she is understandably finding it difficult not having her former friends and co-stars Billie and Sam in her life, especially when she is said to be expecting again and planning a wedding.

"Ferne is feeling quite isolated and left out," they told us. "She’s sad she missed out on Billie’s birthday. It’s clear she’s reflecting on things with her Billie and Sam.

"Ferne is doing well, she’s got her show with ITV and she can’t wait to be a mum again. It’s a happy time for her and Lorri and it’s a really great time for her but she’s understandably going to be feeling sad as she’s missing out on the things she would normally be involved in with the girls.

The reality starlet who is said to be expecting her second child is already mum to five-year-old Sunday with her jailed ex Arthur Collins, while Lorri is also dad to a son from a previous relationship. She sparked pregnancy rumours after posting a gushing tribute for their one-year anniversary last week.

Sharing a string of snaps, she wrote, “I’ve learnt so much about love since being in this relationship. Perhaps before I had a warped idea of what love actually was.

“Love isn’t all happiness. Romantic dates, lust, laughter, snuggles, cosy dinners & endless joy. No, love means warts n all & showing up no matter what. The good the bad & the ugly. So Thankyou @lozzahaines for showing up through the good times and the really really really sh**ty times! It’s not been the easiest first year of a relationship but it’s also not been a total write off.”
