‘There are no words, only love’: Darius Campbell Danesh’s ex-wife Natasha Henstridge breaks her silence with an emotional tribute to the Pop Idol star – after his shock death aged 41

Darius Campbell Danesh’s ex wife Natasha Henstridge has said she has ‘no words’ as she penned a tribute to the late Pop Idol star after his shock death on Tuesday. 

The singer was found dead at the age of 41 in his US apartment room in Rochester, Minnesota, on August 11 – although the cause of death remains unknown. 

The Canadian actress, 48, who was married to the singer from 2011 until 2018, broke her silence as she shared a carousel of photos in an emotional Instagram post.

Alongside images from their time together, Natasha penned: ‘I have found the paradox that if you love until it hurts there can be no more hurt – Only more love -Mother Theresa.

‘There are no words Darius… only Love Love Love. Forever Janam.’

In the first stunning photo, Natasha and Darius could be seen posing against a sun set before she went on to include a series of selfies from over the years.

Another photo showed the duo with her two son’s Tristan River, 23, and Asher Sky, 21, to whom Darius was step-father.  

The couple, who began dating in 2004, married in 2011 at the San Ysidro Ranch in Santa Barbara, California, but later filed for divorce in 2013. 

After a brief reconciliation in 2016, their divorce was finalised in 2018. He previously told the Scottish Herald: ‘That relationship was certainly not without its ups and downs. Over the course of 12 years, we broke up many times and had a period of six months apart.’

‘It was often a long-distance relationship for half of it. That in itself was an amazing experience, but a painful one. When you love someone you want to be with them.’ 

The couple never had children, although Darius enjoyed his role as step-father to her son’s Tristan River and Asher Sky, who she shares with ex-husband Damian Chapa. 

It comes following the news that Darius was just weeks away from a reunion tour with his former co-stars.

Darius’ family wrote in a tweet announcing the news on Tuesday: ‘It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Darius Campbell Danesh. 

‘Darius was found unresponsive in bed in his apartment room in Rochester, Minnesota and was pronounced dead in the afternoon by the local medical examiners’ office.’ 

Police have said there were ‘no signs of intent or suspicious circumstances’ as of yet while they await toxicology reports as they investigate the death of the late Pop Idol star.

It comes as sources close to Darius claim he had been hugely ‘excited’ for his reported Pop Idol homecoming – and UK comeback trip – just weeks before he died.
