Coronation Street star Bhavna Limbachia – who was best known as Rana Habeeb for three years on the soap – was rushed to hospital after suffering from a nasty injury on her thumb.
Bhavna, 39, shared a snap from hospital as she was having a scan after her injury.
While she didn't specify what happened, she wrote on her Instagram story: "Got a lot of movement back in my thumb but still not fully healed. I’m keeping everything crossed to avoid surgery.”
It comes after the Corrie star recently celebrated her birthday as she shared snaps of her celebrations.
And Bhavna decided to celebrate her birthday by having a go at some pottery as she was pictured moulding clay.
She wrote on Instagram: "B I R T H D A Y Perfectly imperfect," before adding hashtags: "#birthday #birthdaygirl #pottery #throwingpottery #fun #2023 #creative #clay."
Former Corrie star Michelle Keegan – who played Tina Tina McIntyre on the soap – wrote to Bhavna: "Happy birthday hunni! xxx," while another co-star Jane Danson, who famously plays Leanne Battersby, wrote: "Happiest birthday."
Many will recall Bhavna being killed off Corona tion Street as she died in the arms of her girlfriend Kate – who was played by Faye Brooks – after the factory collapsed in 2019.
Bhavna previously spoke of her choice to leave Corrie and said she felt the only fitting end to her character would be for her to die.
She told The Sun: "Kate and Rana had fought so hard to be together and they had been through thick and thin together.
"I believe their love was so pure as two souls that there was no way that Rana was just going to have a change of heart, hop in a cab and leave.
"I felt that if they were to be separated, they had to be torn apart and it couldn’t have been their decision. The only way to go was if Rana were to die. Rana would never leave Kate, ever."
Bhavna also said her character helped tear down barriers among Asian fans who watch the show.
Back in 2018, the actress confirmed she got married on July 22 and celebrated her nuptials by posting two stunning photographs on Twitter.
Bhavna was seen wearing a beautiful white wedding dress as she cosies up to her new husband – who wore a grey suit.
The pair were standing in front of a stunning lakeside view as she was holding a gorgeous bouquet of white flowers.
“22 July 20018 | Mr & Mrs K,” Bhavna wrote on Twitter, alongside a heart emoji.
In a second picture, the couple were wearing traditional Indian wedding attire as the actress wore a red dress with gold detail with a necklace. Her new husband wore a gold patterned top with red trousers.
