Coleen Rooney and son Kai, 12, model in fashion campaign after Wagatha Christie drama
19th October 2022

Coleen Rooney and her son Kai have modelled together in a new fashion campaign.

Coleen, 36, looked every inch the proud mum as she posed next to her eldest son, 12, for designer boutique Cricket.

Coleen sported an oversized Balenciaga shirt with matching trousers and a neon green studded bag, while she rocked a slick ponytail with hooped earrings.

Kai looked very smart as he wore a black blazer and black straight cut trousers, with a white T-shirt underneath.

The mother-and-son duo posed with straight faces to the camera, while Coleen placed her arm around Kai's shoulders.

As well as Kai, Coleen shares sons Klay, nine, Kit, six, and Cass, four, with her husband, former pro footballer Wayne Rooney.

The pair, who are childhood sweethearts, have been married since 2008.

Sharing the snaps on her Instagram page, Coleen wrote: "Loved being involved in the shoot with @cricketfashion. I am officially part of the CRICKET Community!"

Taking to the comments section, many fans gushed about how stunning the photos were.

One person said: "Lovely with your handsome son", while a second wrote: "Oh my gosh! You look absolutely stunning."

"Absolutely beautiful inside and out. And Kai well done, love yous," another added.

And a fourth user commented: "Well done girly, you're a scouse winner."

Taking after his father's steps into the spotlight, Kai recently signed a deal with sports brand Puma.

The fashion shoot comes after the Wagatha Christie trial – Coleen's High Court libel battle with Rebekah Vardy.

The case is currently being made into a Channel 4 drama series starring This Is England actress Chanel Cresswell as Coleen and Harry Potter star Natalia Tena as Rebekah.

Rebekah 40, lost her high-profile libel claim against Coleen in July when Mrs Justice Steyn ruled that Coleen’s viral social media post accusing Rebekah of leaking her private information to the press was “substantially true”.

Rebekah will have to pay about £1.5 million towards Coleen’s legal costs after Rebekah was ordered to pay 90% of her fees.

After the verdict in July, Coleen wrote in a statement: "Naturally, I am pleased that the judge has found in my favour with her judgement today. It was not a case I ever sought or wanted.

“I never believed it should have gone to court at such expense in times of hardship for so many people when the money could have been far better spent helping others. Both before and after my social media posts in October 2019, I made every effort to avoid the need for such a drawn out and public court case.

"All my attempts to do so were knocked back by Mrs Vardy. This left me with no alternative but to go through with the case to defend myself and to end the repeated leaking of my private information to The Sun.”
