Chris Young Shares ‘Raised On Country’
5th January 2019

Chris Young has released his new song, “Raised on Country,” a track that celebrates country radio, and pays tribute to the artists of his childhood.

“I was raised on Merle, raised on Willie / Got my honky-tonk attitude from Joe Diffie / Daddy did too, it’s family tradition / When someone cranks it up you can’t help but listen / My upbringing sounds like George Strait singing / ‘Cause if you know me, I was raised on country,” he sings on the new track.

The song was co-written by Young, Corey Crowder and Cary Barlowe.

“Raised on Country” is the first track from Young’s upcoming unnamed album, which will be a follow-up to his recent single “Hangin’ On.”

It became his 11th No. 1 single.
