Carol Vorderman, 60, sizzled as she showed off her impressive waistline complemented by rock hard abs in a tight-fitting blue gym co-ord today. The BBC Radio Wales host showed off her vibrant outfit as she prepared to bust a serious sweat by lifting some weights, before adding that she’s “getting slower” in her workouts.

On Twitter, Carol typed: “New gym kit for a sweaty gym session with @meldeane….and the #LADIESTHATLIFT…

“The girls were brilliant….me not so much…but I try…and god loves a trier…ha,”(sic) she added.

In the first selfie uploaded by Carol, she tensed her abs while showing off her full outfit which consisted of a blue long sleeve crop top paired with matching spandex leggings.

The mum-of-two completed the look with a pair of stylish grey trainers while posing in what appeared to be her bedroom mirror.

For the second shot, Carol moved into her walk-in wardrobe where she posed wearing the same outfit in a separate mirror.

This time the star’s six-pack could be clearly seen as she showed Twitter fans her rock hard stomach muscles.

On her Instagram, Carol shared a video discussing her first “sweaty session” with gym trainer Mel.

Wearing her brunette tresses down below her shoulders in beach style waves and showing off her make-up free visage, the TV host said: “That was my first sweaty session with Mel, wow I really enjoyed it.

“Thanks for putting up with me girls, I was a lot slower, but I’m trying. It’s my ambition to keep up with the girls one day.”

Carol uses weights to create her impressive physique and has previously posted her workout plan online.

The TV personality alternates lower and upper body days with additional core exercises factored in.

Her lower body workout consists of goblet squats, forward lunges and glute raises with burpees in between exercises if she’s feeling up to it.

To craft a strong core she does leg raises, side oblique dumbbell raises with glute raises, reverse crunches and a plank as extras.

The upper body day consists of shoulder press pyramids and frontal deltoid raises.

She added that she also “walks about seven miles a day and three circuits a week”.

Carol revealed that her libido became sky-high after reaching her late 50s.

At the moment the star insists she doesn’t have one boyfriend and is instead enjoying her freedom.

“I get up to a lot of mischief. I have a number of special friends but I’m not doing anything wrong. Everyone’s single,” she told the Daily Mail.

“And yes, apart from one, they’re all younger than me. I don’t want to settle down. I’m enjoying my freedom.”

But she won’t name names, explaining: “I’ll have broken the code. I never mention them, and they don’t talk about me. If I told you who they were, I’d have to kill you!”

Carol is mother to two children – Katie, 28, and Cameron, 24, both students – from her second marriage to Patrick King.
