Bruce Springsteen has made the E Street Band‘s famous 1979 No Nukes concerts available to his archives series.
The No Nukes concerts were recorded on September 21 and 22, 1979 at New York’s Madison Square Garden. This is the first time that the complete set of No Nukes have officially been made available.
Selections from Springsteen’s sets originally appeared in the No Nukes concert film and soundtrack.
The September 21 show featured the live debut of “The River,” which later came to be the title track of the double-LP studio album that was released in 1980.
The E Street Band also performed a cover of Maurice Williams and the Zodiacs‘ “Stay” during the concert.
