Ariana Grande ‘forced to cancel’ New Year’s performance
28th December 2018

Ariana Grande has reportedly been forced to cancel her upcoming performance over New Year’s Eve weekend.

The thank u, next singer was due to headline a show at the Cosmopolitan Hotel in Las Vegas on Saturday night.

But now, it’s said that she’ll have to miss the show after falling ill.

Sources told TMZ that Ariana has been sick all week with bronchitis and wasn’t getting any better.

The show was due to be held at The Chelsea, a 3,200 seat venue inside the casino, and some of the tickets had been sold at $1,000 each.

The site reports that Ariana will reschedule the date later.

It comes after reports that Ariana is planning to return to Manchester for another concert after the devastating terror attack at her show in 2017.

It’s said Ariana will be taking to the stage at Manchester Pride, meaning the event could have bagged its biggest headline act in its 25-year history.

A Manchester Pride performance would mark Ariana’s second return to the city after a suicide bomber targeted her concert.

After 22 lives were claimed and many others affected, she returned to stage a one-off televised concert, dubbed Manchester One Love.

She invited famous friends, including Miley Cyrus, Justin Bieber and Little Mix to perform, raising money for those affected.

Ariana has fuelled speculation for the Manchester Pride gig by saying that there was one ‘special’ show on her Sweetener tour schedule that is yet to be announed.

Mirror Online has contacted Ariana’s representatives for comment.
