Alison Hammond and Shaun Ryder in behind the scenes ‘clash’ at Dancing On Ice
19th January 2022

Alison Hammond and Shaun Ryder got caught up in an off-camera bust up at the weekend while they were both at Dancing On Ice, according to report.

Shaun was on the side line to support his Happy Mondays pal Bez while Alison was in the stands to cheer on her ITV Daytime colleague Ria Hebden.

It's thought Alison and Shaun haven't got on since they first spent time together on I'm A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! back in 2010.

And when they bumped into each other on Sunday, Alison reportedly shouted to Shaun: "I never liked you. From the first minute I met you and spoke to you, I never liked you."

Shaun simply replied: "I know."

However, it didn't end there as Loose Women’s Denise Welch had approached him and asked: "What’s wrong with you and Alison?"

Shaun told the Daily Star: "I don’t know why Denise came over to me. Ever since the jungle show, I knew Alison didn’t like me.

"But fair enough, nobody has to like each other. It’s not against the law. When we were in the jungle I knew from day one that she didn’t like me. On Sunday I was proved right."

Shaun's representative declined to comment when approached by OK!. Alison's representative has also been contacted for comment.

Shaun 's bandmate Bez took to the ice with a crash helmet in Sunday's launch show but since his star turn, the aspiring skater has tested positive for Covid.

Bez, whose real name is Mark Berry, told fans: "I've had a positive test. I'm gutted because I'm going to be missing training but I'm looking forward to skating on the show again for Week Three and I'll be tuning at home and cheering on my mates who are skating this weekend."

Luckily he was not due to perform this coming weekend, so hopefully he'll have recovered for when he's due to return.

Bex hopes to be back for the show on Sunday 30 January.

An ITV spokeswoman said: "We have stringent protocols in place to ensure the health and safety of all our contributors and staff which are routinely monitored and updated to reflect the current guidelines."

Last year's series was plagued with issues and some contestants caught the virus and others sustained injuries on the ice.
