Models drop jaws in duct tape outfits as sexy festival trend returns
5th April 2019

The return of festival season can only mean one thing – duct tape fashion is back.

Last week, the saucy trend was spotted at Ultra Festival.

Here are some of the most eye-popping looks we spotted at the annual event.

The Black Tape Project recently debuted some duct tape designs in Miami.

In eye-popping images, models rocked the sticky garments as they danced the night away at Ultra Festival.

One of these lovely ladies was Alexis Michaud, who wore a black and purple creation in the VIP area.

Dark bands of tape were placed around her neck to mimic a halter top, while metallic material wound round her arms to create cuffs.

Geometric detailing added further intrigue to the racy get-up.

An alternative model, who goes by the name Lavish, sported a similar design.

Duct tape was cut into geometric shapes, before being applied all over her chest.

The unconventional fabric was also used for the black lines that sprawled from her bust to her knees.

Arm cuffs and neck sparkles completed the jaw-dropping ensemble.

Other Black Tape Project creations included a white and gold bodysuit.

Blonde bomshell Taylor Gallo looked stunning as she posed next to designer Joel Alvarez.

Pictures of the duct tape fashion have racked up thousands of likes on Instagram.

Many commenters gushed over the outfits, although some said they’d be nervous to try them.

One responder wrote: “Super cute but I’d be scared to bend over at all.”

Another asked: “So cool! But how do you pee?”

A third added: “Omg this looks amazing but must hurt to get off.”

The Black Tape Project is the brain child of Joel Alvarez, who has become known as “The King of Tape”.

When he was working as a photographer, he was inspired by the suggestion of one of his models.

On his website, he writes: “One day in 2008 I was a rookie photographer who was working with a model that suggested I use electrical tape her for the last look.

“I honestly had no idea why she would want this but to make her happy I attempted to use this tape as wardrobe.

“Essentially I just wrapped her in black electrical tape! Mind you she looked like two Christmas hams wrapped in rubber bands when I was done! (I’d never show you these images!)

“However, it sparked an idea in my head to develop this idea.”
