Ashley Banjo has opened up about his joy over the birth of his baby daughter as he headed off to judge Dancing On Ice today.
Yesterday his wife gave birth to a baby girl, who they named Rose Adura Banjo.
The 30-year-old said that he feels "incredibly blessed" but admitted that he was a "tired daddy".
Sharing a picture of himself in a car on his Instagram Story, he said that he was "already missing" his daughter.
He wrote: "On the road and missing my Rosie already. But feeling so incredibly blessed!
"Time for some judging… #dancingonice."
He and wife Francesca revealed back in October that they were expecting a baby after a "difficult journey".
Confirming the happy news yesterday on Instagram, Ashley wrote: "Our beautiful daughter came into the world at 6:45pm on 21st February 2019 – weighing a healthy 8lbs 13oz.
"Her name is Rose Adura Banjo. I am in the deepest love ever with my little family.
"️ @francescabanjo I love you and am so proud #nextchapter ."
The Mirror revealed he has permission from ITV bosses to quit rehearsals – and even the live show – if he needs to. However his Instagram revealed that he has decided to go ahead and judge tonight.
A show source said: “Ashley is very professional and it’s business as normal at the moment. But if Francesca or the hospital calls when he is at the studio, he has permission to leave immediately…

“He is not going to wait around at home for it to happen but, equally, he is not going to miss the birth because of his judging job.”
The pair revealed last year they were expecting their first child following a “tough” journey to conceive.
This week Ashley, 30, wrote on Instagram that he and Fran were “patiently waiting” for their baby to arrive.
The Diversity dancer and his long-term love were seen cosying up in bed, with Francesca clutching her baby bump and planting a kiss on Ashley’s head.
He wrote: “Waking up early every morning – just patiently waiting for the bump to become a baby… Any moment now… #babybanjo.”
If Ashley misses Sunday’s show, ITV execs may bring in former judge Karen Barber, 57, as a stand-in.
