Tackling colour head on

Posted in Fashion / Fashion blog / Fashion pic shoots / Fashion pictures

Colour can be a daunting affair. The potential for clashes, for mismatches, for the purchasing of pieces that will end up as wardrobe orphans – great in their own right, but outcast from their contrastingly themed counterparts. In a shoot photographed by Henryk Lobaczewski and styled by Phoenix Keating, the dominant rule of colour is again proven: if you’re going to go for all colour, go bold. For the more fearless the use of colour the more the look will work.

With fair hair and matching fair brows, model Laura Gorun is a perfect blank canvas for a colour-filled shoot. Key hues of 2011 feature prominently: from rich forest green to golden yellow to the must-have burnt orange. From the clothes to the accessories to the bold pop of red lipstick, colour is all around – but never fails to work in harmony.
