James Charles has cancelled his Sisters tour, following his row with Tati Westbrook.
The 20-year-old – who found himself embroiled in a feud with his fellow YouTube star – confirmed the news on his Instagram story, uploading a string of clips for his 15.3million followers.
He began the clip by thanking fans for all their positivity and birthday messages, before updating everyone on the 24-city tour.
‘I’ve been getting a lot of questions and comments about the Sisters tour,’ the make-up artist said.
‘Obviously a lot has gone on in the past few weeks which has led to many people, including myself, wondering what’s going to happen to the tour.
‘We’ve officially come to the very, very tough decision that I am cancelling the Sisters tour.
‘I know this sucks and people are going to be sad and upset about it, trust me, I’m not happy either.’
His tour was set to kick off at the end of next month, on 26 June in Philadelphia, before travelling across the US and finishing in LA a month later.
He went on to state it was completely his decision to pull out, and he was not forced to do so in any way.
‘I want to make it very, very clear, I made the decision to pull the tour,’ he continued. ‘This is 100% my decision, none of the venues or brands pulled out. It was almost completely sold out, less than 1% who bought tickets called for refunds
‘The Sisters tour is not being cancelled because I was cancelled, let’s make that clear. I made the decision for a lot of different personal reasons.’
James hit headlines over the past couple of weeks after fellow beauty guru Tati cut ties with him and made an exposé video, accusing him of lying about a brand deal and exploiting people’s sexuality.
While Jeffree Star and Zara Larsson had their say, the pair have since called a ceasefire, pledging to speak about it in private.
Discussing the drama, the star said: ‘I don’t want to think about it, or talk about it, ever again. Let’s be real, it sucked, it put me in a really, really bad place.
‘I’m not better, and I’m not back, but I’m trying to move on with my life and focus on good things that make me happy.
‘That being said, I am still not doing well.’
James also revealed that, following the drama with Tati – who shared an emotional video of her own, explaining she should have handled things privately – he is planning to take some time for himself.
‘The main reason I’m deciding to pull the plug on tour is that the next few weeks and months, I said I wanted to take time for myself and to be with people that love me, and focus on things that make me happy. Which is make-up, and being with friends and family.
‘I want to take a little bit of time off to get my head back where it needs to be.
I know it sucks, and people are going to be sad, I know it’s going to be embarrassing for me. I agree. This is not something I’m happy about either but it’s a decision that needed to be made.
‘Because of all the stuff, I feel like I can’t deliver the best version of James right now, and that sucks, but I’m working on it.’
The YouTube star – who recently partied with Kylie Jenner – vowed the tour would be going ahead at a later date, when he can offer everything he previously promised fans.
