TMZ broke the story in the U.S. tonight that Felicite Tomlinson, beloved kid sister to former One Direction member Louis Tomlinson, has died suddenly at the age of just 18 years old. The media outlet reports that Felicite apparently died of a massive heart attack, though many details are still unavailable.
TMZ was able to confirm that Felicite Tomlinson passed away yesterday at her studio apartment in London. She collapsed from a heart attack, and an unidentified person in the apartment with her at the time called for an ambulance.
Paramedics did try to revive her, but they were unsuccessful. Felicite was eventually pronounced dead at her apartment.
Felicite had already started a career as a fashion designer and had achieved some real success as a social media influencer, having attracted more than 1 million followers on Instagram alone. From her IG account, it appears that she had begun focusing a number of her posts on fitness, and she had made a recent commitment to avoid drinking and smoking.
Louis, who is the oldest of seven siblings, seems to have been particularly close to her. TMZ reports that the pop singer was “devastated” by the news and has pulled out of his professional commitments for this week.
Louis lost his mother Johannah Deakin in 2016, and he has admitted that he is still not over the grief from that tragedy. Only nine days ago, he released the single “Two of Us” as a tribute to his late mother. One can only imagine what he is feeling now.
TMZ and other sources are saying that Louis has returned to his family and is trying to do what he can to comfort them while processing the loss himself.
