It’s the biggest night of the music calendar, and the 2019 Grammy Award’s red carpet did not dissapoint.
From intimate wardrobe malfunctions to toe-turling political statements, there were plenty of frocky horrors causing a stir at the Staples Centre on Sunday night.
Feast your eyes on some of the most shocking sartorial displays of the night – that prove not everybody was going home a fashion winner.
While never known to be understated, Cardi’s Grammy look was a head-turner even by her standards.
The rapper shuffled down the red carpet in a velvet blue fishtail gown that was split open at her waist before fanning around in huge pink pleats.
Cardi then finished the look with a flesh-coloured body suit – with pearls stitched across her crotch and belly button.
The Bodack Yellow hitmaker then made the most of her outfit as she posed in a pair of matching silk gloves.
While beau Offset, with whom she’s recently reconciled, dutifully stood behind letting his lady take all the shine.
Katy Perry’s bid to be pretty in pink ended up taking a sour note thanks to her bizarre ruffled skirt.
The singer hid her famous curves away in the over-sized ensemble, while her chest appeared to be uncomfortably squashed in the silver bodice.
Also opting for a baby-pink hued number was reality star Kylie Jenner .
The ill-fitting suit did little for Kylie’s figure – even with the help of a cinched in waist.
Her quirky finishing touches didn’t offer much either as she left strands of hair falling out of her bun and cuddled up to boyfriend Travis Scott in a pair of pink gloves.
Ever since Jennifer Lopez set the bar with that see-through Versace gown back in 2000, the Grammys red carpet has always been embraced as a place to flaunt as much skin as possible.
And this year it was Toni Braxton who decided to push things to the extreme.
The singer revealed almost everything in her cut-out and mesh purple gown that featured some very poorly placed sequins.
And speaking of Jennifer Lopez, the star was a surprise arrival at the bash in Downton Los Angels.
But unfortunately, JLO ended up turning heads for all the wrong reasons in her halterneck gown.
While the pale satin dress perfectly showed off Jen’s gym-honed bod, the unusual hat choice and heavy beading proved too much of a distraction.
Singer Joy Villa opted to make a controversial political statement with her Grammys get-up.
The US star donned a pro Trump inspired gown that featured a distinct brick pattern and the words ‘Build the Wall’ scrawled in red across her skirt – just incase the message wasn’t clear enough for some.
And if that wasn’t enough, Joy also carried with her a conservative red handbag bearing the President’s favourite slogan, Make America Great Again.
